Tapan Mitra : Born 1947. Education and experience: Studied Painting and Serigraphy at Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan. Three awards from the Charukala Parishad, Government of West Bengal, and the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata. Exhibitions: Nine solo shows in Santiniketan, Kolkata, Chennai, and Dhaka. Participated in several group shows in Santiniketan, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, London, Canada, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Festival of India in USA, Calcutta Festival of Arts, Viswa Banga Sammelan. Attended art camps in Kolkata, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pondicherry, and the Sunderbans.
